This App provides a live lightning strike map. Also send notifications of local strikes.
Lighting is the most fascinating aspect of the weather. Nothing can beat watching a storm or hearing a loud crack of thunder, waiting for it to come closer.
There are 16 million lightning storms each year. The discharge of atmospheric electricity can reach temperatures approaching 30,000 degrees C and travels at 140,000 mph. No wonder they are fascinating to watch!
Map locations supported US / Europe / Oceania / Japan. However data coverage mainly in Europe and US.

its a good idea for this. but can you refresh the map about 1 minute? because its not automatiquely self refresh... Im member of Blitzorgnung and i like your soft! portability, quick view on the land, in car, in activity. Congratulation! go ! go ! go! Best regards. (and excuse my poor english) Michel.
I hope I wont be charged because nothing works : - impossible to register - impossible to set notifications Nice idea but not working :( Blitz is very community for Lightnings but this app deserves it.
